1997
Mota-Engil in Poland
Mota-Engil started its operations in Poland by executing two contracts for the construction and renovation of 142 bridge structures on the A4 highway, on the Wrocław-Prądy and Prądy-Nogawczyce sections.
1998
Acquisition of KRPD
KRPD was established in 1953 under the regulation of the Minister of Road Transport and Aviation.
The 50-year history of KRPD in the road construction market was significant. Engaged in many important road projects, the company built roads totaling over 3,500 km in its 50 years of existence.
2000
Acquisition of PBM Lubartów
Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Mostów in Lubartów Sp. z o.o. existed in various organizational forms since 1968. It was one of the leading Polish companies specializing in bridge construction. The company was founded after World War II with the initial name and task of maintaining roads.
2007
Purchase of the Górka Sobocka Quarry
The granite quarry in Górka Sobocka was purchased, specializing in extracting natural stone from which high-quality construction and road aggregates are produced. Established in the early 20th century, it quickly gained a reputation as a supplier of high-quality granite. In the 1960s and 1970s, the quarry underwent significant development, modernizing extraction technology and increasing production capacity.
2011
Acquisition of Eltor S.A.
The acquisition of this company, with roots dating back to the 1950s, and the introduction of new execution solutions and investments, allowed Mota-Engil Central Europe to build a strong and stable position in the power engineering market.
2013
Safety Agreement
The company joined the Construction Safety Agreement, an organization bringing together the most important general contractors in the Polish market. The mission of the Agreement is to reduce the number of accidents on construction sites.
2015
Duna Aszfalt’s Debut in Poland
The Hungarian group Duna Aszfalt debuted on the Polish market by acquiring PW Banimex Sp. z o.o.
2020
Formation of WKS Duna Polska
The Banimex Steel Structures Factory was renamed to WKS Duna Polska.
2024
Duna Polska is formed
The Portuguese Mota-Engil Group signed an agreement to sell 100% of the shares in Mota-Engil Central Europe S.A. The agreement was made between the previous owner, Mota-Engil Group, and the Hungarian company Duna Aszfalt Ztr. As a result of the contract, Mota-Engil Central Europe was transformed into Duna Polska S.A.
