Mota-Engil started its operations in Poland by executing two contracts for the construction and renovation of 142 bridge structures on the A4 highway, on the Wrocław-Prądy and Prądy-Nogawczyce sections.

The acquisition of this company, with roots dating back to the 1950s, and the introduction of new execution solutions and investments, allowed Mota-Engil Central Europe to build a strong and stable position in the power engineering market.

The Banimex Steel Structures Factory was renamed to WKS Duna Polska.
The Portuguese Mota-Engil Group signed an agreement to sell 100% of the shares in Mota-Engil Central Europe S.A. The agreement was made between the previous owner, Mota-Engil Group, and the Hungarian company Duna Aszfalt Ztr. As a result of the contract, Mota-Engil Central Europe was transformed into Duna Polska S.A.
