The gross value of the signed contract amounts to PLN 1,125,500,000. This is the largest contract in Duna Polska’s history in the railway sector and, at the same time, an important step in the company’s consistently implemented development strategy in the segment of major railway infrastructure contracts.
The agreement covers the execution of works on railway line No. 201 on the Wierzchucin – Lipowa Tucholska section, as well as related sections of railway lines No. 208, 743 and 744, as part of the “Works on the Maksymilianowo – Kościerzyna section” project. The scope of the undertaking includes the comprehensive modernisation of railway infrastructure, including the reconstruction of the track layout, drainage systems, platforms, railway-road crossings, access roads, engineering structures and buildings, as well as the construction of modern railway traffic control systems, telecommunications infrastructure, overhead contact line equipment, power supply systems, and passenger information and monitoring systems.
The objective of the investment is to improve line capacity, increase railway and road traffic safety, enhance passenger service comfort, and adapt the infrastructure to modern technical, interoperability and environmental standards.
