DK45 Krapkowice – Rogów Opolski opened to traffic
The project involved the reconstruction and reinforcement of a 6.6 km stretch of DK45. The road’s load capacity was increased to 11.5 tonnes per axle. Approximately 4 km of the section features a 2+1 cross-section, allowing for more efficient and safer overtaking. Since January, drivers have also been using the newly built overpass over the railway line. The scope of works included the reconstruction of two intersections: with Boczna Street in Gwoździce and the connection to Provincial Road 415 (DW415). A total of 4 km of internal and access roads were also built.
Additionally, two new wildlife crossings for small and medium-sized animals were constructed, acoustic screens were installed, and various road safety features were implemented.
This is the first of three DK45 sections we are delivering. Our current portfolio also includes the Jełowa–Bierdzany and Zawada–Jełowa segments.
