Details of the project

Location

Gmina Horodyszcze

Client

Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A.

Contract value

44.8 million PLN (gross)

The contract involves the expansion of the 220 kV switchgear, the construction of a 400/220 kV transformer, and the construction of a 400 kV field for connection to the Chełm – Lublin Systemowa 400 kV line. A fire water reservoir with installations will also be built, along with a new access road to the substation and an entrance gate, a technological building, an auxiliary building, as well as acoustic screens.

This investment has an interregional significance and is an important element of the planned development of the transmission network in the southeastern part of Poland. Due to the increasing demand for electricity, the expansion of the National Power System is essential to ensure Poland’s energy security, especially since the 220/110 kV Chełm power substation was built in 1979-1980, and its modernization and adaptation to PSE S.A. standards are necessary.

The project includes the expansion of the 220/110 kV Chełm substation. This task is directly related to the expansion of the 400/110 kV Lublin Systemowa substation and the construction of the 400 kV Chełm – Lublin Systemowa line.
