The contract involves the expansion of an 11 km section of DK 45 Jełowa – Bierdzany. This section is part of the route from Opole to Kluczbork and Olesno, continuing towards Łódź or Częstochowa.
An important element of the upgrade will be strengthening and, in some areas, replacing the existing road structure, adapting it to a load capacity of 11.5 tons per axle. Road safety conditions will be improved by constructing four roundabouts at existing intersections. Pedestrian and cyclist paths will be built, along with additional lanes to serve the adjacent areas.
The expanded section will be equipped with road safety features and street lighting.
The project also includes the construction of new bus bays and the reconstruction of culverts.
The investment will be carried out from 2023 to 2025.
