The S3 expressway is part of the Central European Transport Corridor (CETC) and the European route E65, connecting Malmö in Sweden with Chania in Greece.
The 11.3-kilometer section of the S3 expressway serves as the Lubin bypass. The route has two lanes in each direction and a hard shoulder. As part of the project, two interchanges (“Lubin West” and “Lubin South”) were built, along with three viaducts, animal crossings, and hydrological-ecological culverts. The existing road network was reconstructed, and sections of the route in mining areas were secured to prevent ground subsidence.
