This road section connected the existing modernized road through Skarżysko with the later-constructed Kielce Północ interchange. Over a 3 km stretch from Skarżysko towards Kielce, the new dual carriageway follows the route of the existing road.

The project involved reconstruction of the existing National Road No. 7 and construction of a second, new carriageway along the Skarżysko-Kamienna – Występa section (16.67 km) with expressway parameters, new bridge structures, road viaducts at interchanges, pedestrian overpasses, culverts, traffic safety devices, and environmental protection measures. As well as construction of new and reconstruction of existing underground and overhead infrastructure, including demolition works, gas pipeline reconstruction, power line relocation, telecommunication and water-sewage system modifications.

Further along, the road diverges west of the existing National Road No. 7, forming a bypass for Suchedniów, Ostojów, Łączna, and Występa.
