The Jełowa–Bierdzany section of National Road DK45 has been opened to traffic

The scope of the investment included, among others:

• expansion of the road to the following carriageway widths:

  • 8.0 m – rural cross-section,

  • 7.0 m – urban cross-section;

• strengthening/replacement of the existing pavement structure and adapting it to a load capacity of 11.5 t per axle and forecast traffic volumes;

• construction of four roundabouts at existing intersections;

• development of separated pedestrian and bicycle paths as well as additional access roads serving adjacent areas;

• construction of new bus bays, culverts under the roads, and a comprehensive road drainage system;

• equipping the road with road safety features and lighting.

This is another important stage of works along National Road DK45 and a major step toward improving safety and travel comfort.
