We have opened to traffic a section of the S1 Kosztowy – Bielsko-Biała expressway

As part of the project, the following were built, among others:

• 15.2 km of new roadway,

• 3 road interchanges: Oświęcim, Wola and Brzeszcze,

• service roads, sidewalks and pedestrian & bicycle paths,

• a drainage system, control bays for the Police and Road Transport Inspectorate, as well as road safety devices.

In addition, 18 engineering structures were completed: 10 along the S1 expressway, 5 crossing structures over the S1, 2 railway viaducts and an overpass for large animals. Culverts with ecological, hydrological and combined hydro-ecological functions were also constructed.
