#Cubature construction
We’re expanding another section of national road DK45
The new 9-kilometre section to be reconstructed starts just past the roundabout in Zawada and ends where it connects with the modernised Jełowa–Bierdzany section.
As part of this project, we will upgrade and reinforce the structure of the existing road, increasing its load capacity to 11.5 tonnes per axle. The reconstruction will also include three intersections, whose geometry will be corrected due to currently unsafe entries. A new roundabout is planned at the junction of DK45 and the Kolanowice–Węgry county road.
A key element of the investment—greatly improving traffic safety—will be the construction of a grade-separated overpass over the Opole–Kluczbork railway line. This overpass will follow a new route for DK45. We will also rebuild three bridge structures—over the Mała Panew River, the Industrial Canal (Kanał Fabryczny), and the Brynica River—as well as upgrade existing culverts.
Along the nearly 9-kilometre stretch, existing sidewalks will be upgraded. A new pedestrian and bicycle path will be built, along with access roads to adjacent properties.
The project also includes the construction and reconstruction of road lighting, drainage systems, road safety equipment, and technical infrastructure—including sanitary sewers, a technological duct, water supply networks, telecommunication lines, and power systems.
The project is scheduled for completion between 2025 and 2027.
